I read an article that stated several reasons why a person should not vote for a certain candidate for
president. I disagreed with all of them except one. The article claimed the candidate was an
“Islamophobe”. I would hope so. The fact is, we should all be Islamophobic. As freedom-loving citizens,
we should be concerned with the lack of freedom and liberty afforded by Islamic beliefs and practices.
However, my personal Islamophobia is Spiritual. The first thing that stood out in their doctrine is that
the message was supposedly delivered to Muhammad by an angel (the same goes for Mormon
theology). Galatians 1:8 says, “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than
the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!” That in itself should tell Christians that
Islam is a false religion and dangerous to anyone who would fall under its influence.
Further proof of that is what Islam teaches about Jesus. I always tell people that the very first question
we should ask when studying the doctrine of any religion is this: What does it do with Jesus? Over the
many centuries of the rise of Christianity the tortuous death on the cross, the burial, and His
resurrection is the bedrock foundation of our belief and hope. It ties together, and cements, all other
doctrines of the Bible. If that did not happen, all of Christianity is a lie and countless millions of people
have gone to their grave without hope.
So…what does Islam teach about Jesus? The Quran plainly says that Jesus was not crucified or
murdered. That means he wasn’t resurrected. To know of Jesus, yet to deny His atonement on the cross
and his death-conquering resurrection is blasphemy of the highest degree. That makes the Quran and its
accompanying doctrines “of the devil”, Satanic is another way of putting it.
So, yes, I’m Islamophobic. I hope you are, too.
Say good things about your Savior and His church on this bluff.
