Has the moral pendulum begun to swing back to the right in our nation? It is certainly showing
signs…and that’s good. Movies like “The Chosen” and “The Jesus Revolution” are well attended, the
transgender rhetoric seems to be losing steam, the abortion industry has taken a hit, and even a few
famous people have spoken up for people of faith. I’m encouraged, and I hope that you are, too.
You know why this is finally happening? I believe it is because of the faithful who wouldn’t back down in
the face of adversity and name-calling. Christians who stood their ground spoke out with the truth. I
know so many churches simply caved and twisted the Bible (or ignored it completely) to scratch the ears
of sinners everywhere. But most churches didn’t do that; most Christians held firm to strong Biblical
teaching.
To be sure, there is a very long way to go, but we are beginning to see some light at the end of the
tunnel. The message now is to stay the course; continue to speak up and let your voices be heard.
Never be ashamed of pointing to the Bible as your source of wisdom and knowledge. God honors
obedience and blesses faithfulness. There is always hope with Jesus as the center of our life and His
church is the center of our lifestyle.
But remember to do that in love and with compassion. Flesh and blood is not our enemy, Satan is.
(Ephesians 6:12). In fact, we need to remember that those who are being blinded to the truth and thus
pushing so hard for evil are our purpose! Jesus loves those folks who deny Him and commands us to
love them and strive to reach them for Christ. While facts and logic may not move them, being born
again will.
