Ordinary People Serving an Extraordinary God

Throughout history God has used ordinary people to advance His cause and Kingdom.

Here at Church On the Bluff, we are ordinary people but we recognize that we serve the one, True and Living God; the One who created all that is and sustains all that He created.

Ephesians 3:20-21 says it so well: “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”

He is the extraordinary God. We invite you to join us as we gather to teach and to worship Him and to serve Him as we serve this community. By teaching Him we mean that we gather for Sunday morning Bible study that is age and life-experience appropriate. We have a Bible study for you; one in which you will feel comfortable and free to both learn and share. You will be part of a small group that knows you and cares for you even outside of the classroom.

We worship the extraordinary God with hymns and praise. At times our worship is exciting and edifying and at times it is quieter and reflective of the majesty of whom we worship. But it is always heartfelt worship of the one, True God.

We preach an extraordinary God through Biblical exegesis, taking the very word of God and expounding on how He speaks to us and revealing what He expects of us in our walk with Him and our life among our fellow humans. The preaching is doctrinally conservative as we adhere to the basic principles in the Baptist Faith and Message of the Southern Baptist Convention. People of many ecumenical backgrounds will experience the truth of God’s Word and the warmth of true love from His servants here at Church on the Bluff.

We invite you to come and learn, worship and serve with us.
